Bases are equipped comprehensively with catering equipment and the personnel are trained in its use. Each base also has tentage which can operate as field kitchens, temporary shelter, or feeding centers. These facilities can also be used to accomodate and feed Civil Defence personnel when they are at the scene of an operation.
