- Durrow Fire Brigade had a very successful trip to the National Pump Drill competition at Dublin Airport on Sunday 19th last. They entered two teams;

Durrow"A" - Gay Lalor, Tom Flynn, David Donohue, Gearoid Ryan.

Durrow "B" - Martin Lawlor, Ger Brophy, Noel Keenan, Son Tyrell.

Durrow "A" won their fourth title, retaining last years and setting a national record in the process of 25.25 seconds. Fifteen teams participated in the competition. Durrow"B" were very unlucky not to do better, but still finished in the top ten. Last year they finished second. Some personnel from No.3 base were present to cheer them along.
