A Rescue/Casualty/Welfare exercise took place today at No.3 Base, Stradbally. Twenty members of Civil Defence took part.

The scenario was an RTA involving a bus and an articulated lorry, with multiple casualties.

While the exercise was taking place, a welfare team set up a field kitchen and prepared a meal from scratch for those taking part.

The overall consensus was that the exercise went well and that it provided a useful indication of the progress of the training programmes currently underway.
