One of the most eagerly
anticipated aquisitions of a vehicle in Laois Civil
Defence history has taken place with the arrival of
the new RIB. It is a Zodiac PRO Pack 470 model with
a Yamaha four stroke 50hp outboard engine.
The issue of the boat was
announced by Mr.J. Sewell, Civil Defence branch, Dept.
of Defence at the awards/promotions night held on
Monday 17th September.
