An awards and promotions night was held at the Gandon Inn outside Portlaoise on the 17th september 2001.

Certificates gained by various members during the year were presented, and promotions in rank were announced.

Guests included the the Chairman of Laois County Council, County Manager, Chief Fire Officer as well as C.D.O's from Kildare and Limerick.
