- No.3 Base recently received new protective clothing for Auxilliary Fire Service duties and training. The new clothing which consists of Bristol uniforms and PacificFireNZ helmets, will allow the unit to resume practical training for A.F.S. The previously issued helmets and uniforms did not conform to modern safety standards and consequently could not be used.

F.O. Seamus Clancy (L) and Vol. Darren Kearney (R) model this season's new look.
