- It's been a while since this news section was updated. The main reason for this is not a lot happened in the meantime. Several new members joined, details of whom will follow. We are still recruiting and all are welcome.

Since the last news the unit was present at the Portlaoise St. Patricks Day parade, the opening of the Harps GAA club's new pitch, and the Abbeyleix Estate open-day, all of which in a stewarding / traffic-control role. We also carried out joint - training with the FCÁ and the ambulance service in Portlaoise.
