- November was a quiet month at No. 3 Base. Notable events included the arrival of military Load Bearing Equipment (webbing) to replace rucksacks, and new breathable wet gear, which hopefully will make life a bit easier for all concerned when the weather is rough.

- The Sponsored 12 mile hike on the 27th was a great success. John Moloney T.D. and Joe Dunne M.C.C were present at the start line to offer best wishes to the hikers. The weather was a bit on the rough side, but everybody survived. Money from the sponsorship cards is still coming in, but by all accounts the response was good.

- The new format for the site is taking shape, and should be ready by the end of December.
