- There haven't been many updates to this section lately because we have been working on a new format for the site. Training has finished now for the current year, so now is as good a time as any to catch up on events during October and see what's happening in the future.

- Following on from their national record setting victory at Dublin Airport during September, Durrow Fire Brigade carried the Shannon Airport title away with them during October. Civil Defence personnel from No.3 Base again went along to cheer them on. There are plans enter a team from No.3 base next year in the Shannon competition, which is open to A.F.S. units.

- The Laois Civil Defence Volunteers Association are holding a sponsored 12 mile night hike in the Slieve Bloom mountains on November 27th. Funds raised will go towards equipment. If anyone wants to sponsor us feel quite free to do so.

- The new website will be going online in December. If anyone has any links they would like to go onto it contact us about them . If any other C.D. or other service would like to go online with a website we might also be of some assistance, just drop us an email at the above address.
