I have been a vol. firefighter for 12 yrs. and in ems for 8 yrs. I
have allways wanted to know how other departments operated. I think
this is a very informatave web page. Thank you for opening this up for
everyone. I believe we can all learn from each other. Once again thank
you. I am from Ohio USA. The department I am on is a rural one, it
covers 40 square miles with a population of arround 4500 people. We
have 2 engines [pumpers] 1 grass truck 1 equiptment truck 2 tankers
1 auto extracation truck and 1 ambulance. Once again thank you

Hi,

All the best with your work and hope that you do not have to use your
skills in real life too often.

The Service I belong to called the Victoria State Emergency Service
started out as a Civil Defence Force and has grown into the largest
rescue service in the World. We have over 140 rescue Units and about
5,500 rescuers who are all volunteers.

Our web page is at http://www.ses.vic.gov.au/

Cheers
