There are two types of first aid kit in use with Laois Civil Defence. The basic kit is used by members with the Lifesaving First Aid certificate. Intermediate/Advanced - trained personnel use the advanced kit.

Other casualty equipment includes patient transfer devices such as stretchers and backboards.

The ambulance includes additional equipment, conforming to the Health Board ambulance specifications.
