The first aid kits carried by all personnel contain equipment for basic treatment and body substance isolation.

Elastic Bandage- Used to secure dressings and for support.
Ambulance Dressing - Sterile dressing comprising non-adherent pad and bandage. Used to control heavy bleeding and cover wounds.
Trauma Dressing - Sterile dressing with same structure as wound dressing, but larger. Also known as a field dressing.
First-Aid scissors.- Heavy scissors for cutting clothing, seatbelts, etc.
Gloves. Used at all times to maintain Body Substance Isolation. Come in latex and non-latex varieties. There is also a glove for high risk situations which is blue in colour.
Pocketmask- used to maintain body-substance isolation for CPR. Made by Laerdal.
Vent-aid - Simpler item than pocketmask, but same purpose.
