| The
cervical collar is used to immobilise the
neck when spinal injury is suspected. Due
to the serious nature of spinal injuries,

mechanism of injury could have caused it
and/or there is any neck pain. The collar
used by the unit is the Laerdal Stifneck.
This comes in a range of sizes to suit all
people. An older type of collar made by
Ferno is also in service. |
